AT-43

The U. N. A. pushed back the Therians during the Trauma. 43 years later, humans launch a counterattack under the codename ‘Operation Damocles’.

The French company Rackham introduced their new pre-painted sci-fi miniatures game AT-43 with the starter set Operation Damocles, and produced some amazing figures before, sadly, going bust in 2010. Designer and illustrator Paolo Parente originally pitched his weird war Dust universe to Rackham, but they wanted a scifi game to compete with Warhammer 40,000, so the hard sci-fi of AT-43 was born with the help of some very talented writers. I still think the main ‘twist’ of the storyline (I won’t give it away) is one of the most clever inventions in gaming sci-fi.

I made a big investment in this game and it’s my sci-fi miniatures game of choice, and while it’s very sad that there’s little chance of a revival, with the rights stuck somewhere in corporate land and the original figure moulds destroyed, it’s probably a good thing for my wallet that they’ll be no more releases!

I didn’t find the original unit cards as useful as they could have been, so I made new ones myself. Here you’ll find all the cards redesigned into a much more readable and comprehensive format, plus custom-designed unit activation tokens. If you still play this excellent game, these summaries and references are a must. And with the help of proxies you can still enjoy a system that was definitely ahead of its time.

Finally, I’ve gathered together all the content for AT-43 that I can find before it disappears forever from the internet.

All these unit cards were updated in February 2020.

Curious to learn more about the history of the creation and production of AT-43? Check out this interesting interview with Paolo Parente.

Making these game aids takes a lot of work, yet I provide them free of charge. If you find them useful, please consider making a donation, or becoming a regular supporter via PATREON, so I can continue making quality tabletop gaming content. Thankyou!

These are great looking. Thanks for your hard work!

If you’re ever looking to part with any of your AT-43 stuff, let me know!

  • Tom says:

    Hey Peter-

I’m a big fan of Dust Tactics, and was thinking of picking up some AT just for something different. Curious what you thought the strengths and weaknesses were between the two systems?

    Thanks!

    -Tom

    • Universal Head says:

Hi – sorry for the delay in replying, I’ve been ill. Tom, they really are completely different and I enjoy both. AT-43 is a full tabletop miniatures game in the style of Warhammer 40,000, and Dust Tactics is more of a board game, with miniatures on a large gridded map. I recommend both, but AT-43 is a larger, more complex game.

  • Marco says:

Friends, dirt kangaroo in karmans army has wrong una logo on the card

    • Universal Head says:

Outrageous, it will be fixed asap! Glad someone out there is using these. 🙂

      • Marco says:

not only use them. love them at all
better then original ones because of the rules written on the card

        really a wonderful job!
here in my club we are re starting at-43 but a lot of warhammer players want to use their own miniatures. have you cards in levels to change pictures?

        • Universal Head says:

Glad you’re using and enjoying them. I’m afraid supplying them in such a way as to allow players to change the images would mean a huge amount of effort – and I’ve already spent literally hundreds of hours on these. Hope you understand! 🙂

  • Marco says:

    of course!
I would change pictures by my own, I can’t ask you to do it
    but I fully understand you

    • Universal Head says:

Thanks mate – with 200+ summaries I get lots of specific requests – if I followed them all up I’d never get new things done!

  • Marco says:

my friend… I found a miss in karmans cards: guide darius, a promo hero

  • SPC Atkinson says:

I would like to know if there is some way for me to get my hands on therian miniatures these days. Sadly I wasn’t able to afford these games till recently, and I have since seen all of the stuff I wanted disappear or become extravagantly overpriced; even eBay is pretty bone dry. Does anyone have any suggestions.

    • Sadly, I would have to say that unless you’re happy with very small forces, the days of being able to get together armies of AT-43 figures are gone. Unless you stumble across someone wanting to sell an entire army or two, there’s very little left out there (except for some Karmans; they really must have made a lot of Karman figures back in the day).

It’s a very sad state of affairs and it’s a shame that no one ever picked up the licence and ran with it. All the figures would have to be redone from scratch now as the last I heard, the original molds had been left to decay for various bloody money-related reasons. I still think there’s an opening for an alternative to Warhammer 40,000 and that AT-43 filled that gap, but it was all mis-managed and the opportunity was lost. Perhaps one day someone will resurrect the game via Kickstarter or something, but for now I think it is too late to get into it from scratch.

    • Mark says:

There is an ebay seller from hong kong with original prints of the base set and some troopers. shoporiental is the seller I think. However, you’re paying full retail (adjusted for inflation) prices. Miniature Market in America are mega cheap ($2 for an army book) but shipping is horrendous. 3 army books was going to cost me about $70. Shame really, but you’ll be paying an absolute premium to play this game. I’m tempted to give it away and go after something modern and cheaper.

      • Unless you’re using proxies, sadly there’s not way you’d be able to get into this game now. There just isn’t enough original stuff left out there. Whether you’d bother using proxies for a game whose rules are still pretty rough around the edges (there was only ever one version) is debatable. I’m glad I have armies, and I enjoy it, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone bother getting into it now it’s dead and gone.

  • p! says:

I am still collecting and playing the game. Nice to see, that there are some people around who also still like AT-43!
    Great Work!!!

  • Mark says:

Found some good proxies which might fit the bill. I’d say the Sayx and Harvesters forces fit especially well for the UNA and Therions.

  • CK Lai says:

And a very happy new year to you, UH…

I’ve played a few games of what is probably (?) one of your favourite SF tabletop minis games (UNA vs Therians only, so far) and your material here has been absolutely invaluable!

That said, I noticed a few items you might like to consider updating:

    1. Therian Overseer (Infantry and AFV) routines: “An overseer can use each routine once per activation”. Can’t seem to find this info in any of your rules summaries or cards and it was a major question that popped up.

    2. Army building: not sure if you want to add this, since your rules summary skips lightly over this part, but I didn’t realise this till AFTER I’d played a game:

    “• A company can only have one rank 5 officer;
    • A platoon can only have one rank 4 officer;
    • A unit can only have one officer;
    • A company must have at least one officer.”

    3. A small thing but you seem to be missing a photo of the Therian Assault Golem Overseer (and you used the photo of a normal Assault Golem instead) for your Therian cards. Would you like me to send you a photo of the actual mini?

Other than this, many thanks again for this excellent resource for a greats but (sadly) dead game!

    • Excellent! This has been a huge project and it’s good to have another eye looking over it. Please send the photo, and I’ll check the other things you mention. Anything else you find, let me know! Thanks.

      • Note that bit about the officers is in the Recruitment section of the summary, but I have fixed the Therian summary sheet to include the note about using each routine once per activation.

  • CK Lai says:

Great stuff, UH! The more I play, the more I appreciate the basic simplicity of the rules for this game. (Cue sad music and the usual laments about the game’s death).

Sorry I didn’t notice the recruitment section in your summary, since I wasn’t playing with reinforcements just yet.

Also, would you consider putting the grenade and nanostorm info from your rules summary (under the individual UNA, Therian, Red blok etc. sections) as a chart with the relevant symbols instead of what you have now? I know you’ve provided that info in separate cards but to be honest, I don’t use them as they are something extra that needs to be taken care of.

I’ve also emailed the photos to you. Hope you can use them. If not, let me know and I’ll take new ones.

  • i-one says:

I still collect and have 100 minis from the game from all factions but ONI (those are just over the top expensive)… I play now with my kids and it is simple and great looking. One can make mods to the rules if you find them too simple. Anyway glad there are ppl who appreciete AT 43 🙂

    • This is the last place on the internet that gives AT-43 any love, I reckon! 🙂

      • i-one says:

Yeah.. I searched and find onIy this site. I also have biggish collection of Heroscape. The way I look at this I will play it with my kids and their friends. They don’t care if the games are discontinued or not. Also making terrain for AT43 is awesome!

  • briscoe999 says:

Hello UH – on your Red Block cards Pages 21 and 22…..no the Groupa R Krasnye and RPG support team cards – 4 of the 6 cards show 8 figures on the team. All the other support cards show 3 figures. Is this correct? I am thinking all support team cards should show 3 figures, but i am not sure. Regards

  • briscoe999 says:

PS – just watched your most recent AT-43 play-through video again….Great Stuff!!

  • briscoe999 says:

Sorry that I didn’t see this earlier when i posted the errors i discovered a few days ago, but i think there are a few other minor errors on the Red Block support teams (specifically RPG Groupa R and RPG Groupa R (Krasnye). To the left of the cards it says 3 Troopers with 2 Rocket Launchers. I believe it should read 3 Troopers with 3 Rocket Launchers for both cards.

Also,is there a reason you also list the Standard Ranged weapon for all the support teams of all the factions? I thought the Support Teams are small groups of 2 or 3 figures with only the specific specialized weapons mentioned (Example – Sniper team, Flamer Team or Rocket Launcher Team). Or, are you listing the normal range weapons as well because these teams can use both?

    Regards.

  • briscoe999 says:

UH – When you get around to “fixin” the AT-43 cards, i think i noticed another small item for Red Blok. It looks like for the (2) Hetman cards, you show a picture of a Kossack. The Hetman picture is actually the picture shown on the Odin and Mannon card (the pic when they are in the vehicle of course).

  • Dave Wilkin says:

    Hi,
Checked out your vids on utube, and now checking out your site. Great resources for AT-43.A couple of us at the Bedford Gladiators, ( UK wargames club) were seriously in to AT back in ” the day” and recently I got my stuff out of storage, and we had a game down t’ club! I think the pics are being popped on the club site bedfordgladiators.wordpress.com
Do you know if the old Easy AT43 army builder software is still around?
    Cheers,
    Dave Wilkin

  • Jimmy Zimmerman says:

Wow what a great collection of army books and game. I was only tangentially aware of at-43 as I was out of gaming during that period (damn small children ruining my playtime;) !!) and by the time I was back the game was gone so I never really dug into it till now. Having noted a thread at Dakka about the IP being (finally) up for sale and some tantalizing tid bits about “amazing fluff” brought me here. Can say, WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED.

A huge loss to wargaming this was. Seems like anything not just a 40k clone is destined to be ignored now. Such unique factions and styles and designs.

  • Hello UH,

I was very excited about AT-43 when it first came out but was a poor gamer and unable to buy in. Over the last six months however, I have realized a long held ambition and managed to collect large and complete UNA and Therian armies and my group is halfway though the Operation Damocles campaign.

I just wanted to thank you for your fantastic unit cards. The Rackham cards are practically illegible and I use yours in every game.

    You do excellent work!

    J-

    • I’m amazed you’ve managed to get decent armies together so recently, I thought there was hardly anything left out there. Join the forums and tell me about your experiences with the campaign, I’d love to hear them!

  • Phil King says:

Many thanks for your hard work on this game. I got into the game just as it folded and sold it all off, including my Red Block army box , how l wish l had kept that one…..!
I have now got back into the game and picked up a Damocles set from eBay plus some extra figures and machines. Due to the limitations of what is available it will never be more than skirmish gaming, this works for me as that is how l see the action taking place in the dark confines of the Damocles setting. I have limited my forces to the original UNA and Therians, l was never that struck on the Cogs or Karmans anyway.
Your site is a Godsend, your cards are far superior to Rackhams, keep up the good work.

  • Josh says:

    Like the card.
Didn’t see a PDF for operation democules or frost bite(sorry for the spelling).
I still love the game and own all 6 armies. Found out teaming kog, oni, and therIans is over kill.
I’m also working on expanding tactics and who appreciate any ides on how to handle vehicles.

  • Osti says:

On another note. I finished selecting my final Therian collection. Will be listing the ones I’m not keeping in 2-3 days. That is a couple 100 Therians including rares like the Medusa’s the storm arachns and a couple succubus golgoths.

You’ll find me on eBay as GLgamelair

Just thought you might wanna know in case you have any rares your looking for.

    Kuddos

    • I’ve already got about 13,000 points of Therians, though perhaps another unit of arachns wouldn’t go astray … 🙂

    • Ouch, single figures with shipping of US$26?

      • Jesus says:

        Ouch!!

Must be the international shipping. I do combined shipping so you put items in your cart if you buy internationally without paying for them then text me I text you and see what you want. Remove all those items from E-bay then cancel your items.
Then I do a new listing with your name for all of the items you wanted and you only pay for shipping once with everything combined.
I know a bit annoying and a lot of work for me but due to e-bay insurance when shipping outside the USA this is the best way to do combined shipping.

🙂 Just had a French buyer that plays AT-44 buy all my assault Therians, a defender snake and G Epson this way.

Glad to hear about your Therian legions !! I must be above 10000 pts for sure with my Therians and UNA. Sadly my red block collection is quite small, about 2000Pts. So hard finding their high quality infantry.

        • Hi – I’ve got a few things totalling US31.95, but shipping is 88.38. I’ve got to the confirm and pay page so what do I do now? BTW I don’t need the cards.

          • Osti says:

So as long as they are in your cart you should have the option to buy them without paying. Then I will cancel those listings and make a listing with those Items specially for you and send you a link and the name of the listing. The you can buy that new listing and all the shipping will be combined.
Or if it’s easier for you just tell me what listings they are through an E-bay message and I’ll do the same thing I just said above 🙂

        • CK Lai says:

I have some extra Red Blok stuff if you’re interested.

  • Chris Heckert says:

I’ve recently come into an AT-43 army and I don’t play myself. There’s 68 pieces altogether and I think it’s mostly Red Blok (camo painted mecha and soldiers?) with a few alien looking dudes. I’d like to sell the collection but would prefer to avoid Ebay fees. I’ve got photos and thought maybe somebody here might be interested in taking a look first before I find somewhere else to sell them?

  • Patrick says:

Do you still have any of those figures left or have you gotten rid of them? Would be interest in them depending bon what you have. Thanks.

  • Chris Heckert says:

I still have all of them. Apparently I was mistaken and they are all UNA and/or Therians. I can send some photos if you’re still interested.

  • Patrick says:

Sure my email is ghostgundam1 @yahoo.com. thanks.

  • littlemute says:

Hey man, this is like THE source for AT-43 and I was wondering: I have collected a mess of Army lists people made over the years– most of the sources of which are long, long gone off the interweb. Would you be interested in creating a section for army lists and I can feed you the info? Most of the stuff I can cite sources (like ‘originally appeared on X website/forum author: Y) but many sources are lost to the aether.

  • Patrick says:

Was wondering if you ever bothered trying out AT-43 Tactics? Was reading the PDF and liked the concept of promoting your characters. Don’t get to play any AT-43 these days so was thinking about making co-op/solo rules to go along so I could still enjoy the universe. Thanks for providing all these resources for this dead game, has been nice having them. Cheers!

    • Unfortunately no, I’ve never had the chance to try it out. I get to play AT-43 itself so rarely as it is. Must make time for that.

      • Patrick says:

Yes and another battle report too! I don’t know how you decided what to play with all the choices though. I only have a faction of your collection and sometimes I spend more time making a decision and then I don’t have any time to play.

  • Dwight says:

Thank you so much for having this. I bought the starter set when it came out but only in recent months have I actually played it. Now we all want more but the figures are hard to find. Desperately want the AT-43 Tactics….

  • Jonathan Barrett says:

I just dragged out all my old stuff. I popped online to see if anyone had new ideas for these and came across this site.

I haven’t played in years. I’d rather see someone have some fun with these than pack them away. Anyone still looking for stuff?
Contact me at xxx and we can work something out (Update: all items sold).

I have a pile of UNA and Therians (infantry and armor), the COG army box, and a squad of Red block infantry.
I have all the books, including the Frostbite campaign and Tactics.

I’ll hang on to the shipping crates and bunker as those have been great terrain pieces.

  • Joris says:

Thanks for this site and all your hard work, I just started playing AT-43 and I love the game!
Unfortunately it’s very hard to find more troops these days …

  • Mauro Casalese says:

I moved house a few years ago and dragged a bunch of stuff out of storage including my four large army factions. I used some of your game aids long, long ago but haven’t played since 2009. Very happy to see that you’re still supporting this fine game.

  • John Woolley says:

Thanks for these. Just got my friends two boys into wargaming, with the Operation Damocles boxset. They are loving it, but now struggling to find pieces to expand the forces and ideally get some new forces to keep their interest. But these files are great and far easier for them to read and understand than the originals. Many thanks for the work that went into these. Cheers.

  • James says:

Wow, nice to see that somebody did some serious work here. I will check out all the stuff as I’m a great fan of AT-43 (Therian and RedBlok player), even though I haven’t played in quite some time.
One of our gamers here wants to part with his AT-43 collection, if it’s allowed I would post here what exactly he has (all armies except Therians, I will get a detailed list)

  • Daniel Bonilla says:

Hello @JUniversal Head, did James make the post for the AT-43 lot? I might be interested in seeing what his friend has for sale. Thanks!

  • Greg B. says:

Thanks for all these! Amazing to find them so long after the death of the Company!!

  • Will says:

    Hello !!
Thank you for your work !
I am resuscitating the game ! At least virtually which looks like a decent first step !

Here’s the message I’m posting here and there to try and get the community together
I believe your site could be a great base for this !

    ***********
After some hours spent trying to get the best of TTS, finding compatible maps, and getting all the resources together:
    WE CAN PLAY !
I created a dedicated discord, it’s empty for now, it’s just a meetup place:
    https://discord.gg/bcDCkrfgqp
(If anybody wants to join the project and help me get this discord rolling let me know)

I know it’s not the real deal, but it’s the closest we have and after testing a full game on TTS I can say it does the trick !
Feel free to join, write, tell me when you’re free to play !
Build a 2k and 3k list and we can get things rolling !

Can’t wait to meet you guys

    • Kazimierz says:

Was just given the Damocles box set by a friend. Learning the rules now so I can run the game. Thrilled to see this level of continued interest in a game. There are no dead games, only dead imaginations.
Might try it out on TTS once I figure out what I’m doing with Damocles. Played 3 games on TTS so far (some One Page Rules and Fistful of Lead: Wasteland Warriors).

  • FRANCIS TRAVER says:

I have a number of Therian troops ,Golgoths and heroes left that I am selling. Along with a few remaining Karmen Heroes and Red Blok Heroes. Please email me if you are interested.

Spring is here. Birds are chirping, bees are pollinating flowers. Naturally I have turned to AT-43. Thank you for keeping this site going. The unofficial archive of this great game.

    Justin – mustering of arms

  • Wiz-Warrior says:

I’m not sure what brought me here right now at this moment, but I see you have archived what looks like the majority of PDF materials for the game. This is awesome, as its been more than a decade since I sold my collection. I now longer have all the files that Jean Bey gave me when he learned that Peterson at FFG cut of north america distribution for the game, signaling the beginning of the end of Rackham. I wish I still had all my issues of Cry Havoc material to add to this stockpile, as they can be good narrative background resources, as well as scenarios and rules unique to that publication. I feel bad that I had so many of these resource files from Rackham that are lost on a corrupted hard drive, and have yet to see them anywhere else. Maybe one day we can finally round up these wayward children, as others surely have to have the files tucked away too.

This game deserved better than it got. Rackham deserved better than it got.

Anyways, I’m rambling a bit, but just wanted to thank you for keeping this archive, and for all the hardwork you have contributed to gaming over the years. I think the AT-43 system is one of the best out there, and with a few modifications, could be a real contemporary contender to others nowadays. It would certainly kick 40K in the teeth. The miniatures are nigh impossible to get now, and were pretty rare even when I sold my collection over a decade ago. I think it’s time to make this a miniature agnostic system. We need more good agnostic systems. More freedom. Time to break out my Adobe suite…

    • I’m don’t know who you are, but it sounds like you were intimately connected with the game. Can we talk further? I’m fascinated by the history of this game. I’ll drop you an email.

BTW I have issues 1-12 and 13 of Cry Havoc in physical form, and a few on PDF, so perhaps I can add some more to this archive.

  • Alan says:

    Hi,

First, I wanted to thank you so, so, so much! I always wanted to get into AT-43, but being piss-poor kid, had no chance. Now I earn enough to buy them, and I just did :). Me and my friends (whom I got into this game easily) have 15 000 points in original models, further 5000 +- in proxies (mostly some DUST 1947 mechs for Red Blok). Funny enough, all this costed me less than GW 40k equivalent in points; while some models are stupidly pricey, others are literally cheaper than buying normal 40k stuff per point value, much cheaper in some cases.

If not for your hard work, I would not have any way to play this amazing game. Thank you once again. And your cards are just so, so perfect.

Secondly, I wanted to point out a small mistake on said cards – ONI Korps UN have Laser Rifles with 5 Accuracy, BUT they have Triple-Lenses helmets, so they should have Accuracy 6. Both R-Open army building program and ONI rulebook show it as 6. One of my friends is quite likely the last ONI player left on this planet, so I’m not surprised no one noticed it before :).

    • Hi Alan, that’s great to hear. It’s a great game and it’s strange that I seem to be becoming the final holder of the flame online!

I just checked the ONI army book though and it says that the +1 accuracy bonus is already taken account of in their profile. So I think it should stay at 5?

You’re under absolutely no obligation to do so, but there are ways to support my continuing work here at the EOG if you feel the urge, either by donation, or, even better, by joining the EOG community on Patreon – we have an exclusive Discord channel which is pretty cool! 🙂

      Enjoy playing AT-43!

      • Alan says:

Yes, it’s already included in their profile – but their profile in ONI rulebook shows Accuracy 6, not 5. I can’t upload pictures here, so here’s an Imgur link:

https://imgur.com/a/cvW6WBy That’s from ONI rulebook; it shows Accuracy 6, with triple lenses included.

https://imgur.com/a/mfWxusb And here is your card, showing Accuracy 5 on the same unit.

You are definitely the last bastion of AT-43 online, and I really thank you for that! You have no idea how many people never commented to thank you, but I’m pretty sure it’s a lot. The amount of hard work you put there is astounding.

Oh, right, Patreon. I am not piss-poor now, I can donate to people who do the good work! Sadly, I live in a country that’s not using Euro or dollars, so with exchange rates (and they are very bad…) the amount I could donate – even if I literally took half my monthly paycheck – will be nothing to you, but next month I’ll try to send at least something. This month I already spent most of it on AT-43 minis XD.

Not sure about joining Discord, I’m not the most social person in the world sadly, but thank you for the invitation.

        • You’re right, I was looking at the wrong thing. I’ll fix this right now! Don’t worry about donating if you can’t afford it, I certainly don’t want to cause anyone any financial difficulties! I only mention it because I have to, because people sometimes need a nudge. 🙂

  • jomonkey27 says:

the game may be discontinued but the karmans really caught my eye, so i think i may collect them, what would be the best way to go about it

    • Ebay and general Googling are your best bets, there’s not much left around these days and no forums or communities left that I know of. By the way, try saying please or thanks next time, it really helps when asking a complete stranger to do something for you.

      • jomonkey27 says:

apologies, I had not considered saying please and thanks to be an issue. I do however apreciate the advice, thank you

        • No worries. As you can imagine, a lot of my own time and effort goes into this website so I get a bit shirty when people just demand stuff of me. Human being behind all this you know!

  • Sam says:

    (redacted)

I think you’ll find these interesting as an alternative source for miniatures.

    • Sorry Sam, as much as I understand and appreciate people doing it for games that are now unavailable, I can’t link to unauthorised sellers of copyrighted material (3D files and recasts) – I’m sure you understand.

  • From the Starship Troopers Community on Reddit:

Thank you for keeping this alive. As you can imagine, our communities attention was triggered by the artwork of the U.N.A. soldiers and the Ape soldiers.

    • Ha! You’re welcome. Yes I can see the similarity. Some of the Tehran stuff has a definite bug feel too. I heard that ST was good, but it was always too expensive on resale when I looked at it.

  • KYM says:

Hi and a good day to you. Do you have any information regarding the UNA Fire Wasp? It was supposed to be a UNA 4 wheeled vehicle that was produced in small numbers in resin. Do some unit cards exist?
Thank you in advance and best regards.

    • Yes, there were a few produced I believe, but it’s a very uninspiring model, it just looks like a jeep. If you want to use it, I’d recommend using a proxy model. There are some good options. There was a toy jeep made for the Halo brand that was the same scale, or Mantic make a vehicle called a Mule, or Games Workshop have some nice vehicles for the Genestealer Cults faction (eg the Ridgerunner).

  • Sorry I messed up my first comment. AT-43 is a great game I love the miniatures. I just recently got into it with my son and so far we’ve played 3 small games and it’s been fun! UH I love the AT-43 videos You and Will are fun to watch. Thanks for all you do!

  • ZackSD says:

Thanx for all this awesome stuff! I’m getting back into the game and these resources are priceless!

  • Lucas Treber says:

Thank you for your hard work.
I start now with AT-43, and
many modells that you can buy now, have no cards.
    It helps a lot!

  • Cam says:

Hello, so around 10 years back I started finding and collecting all the products that came out for AT-43 for posterity of sorts.
I would say its somewhere between 95%-99%, minus some original boxes and I believe 2 or 3 products.

I am no longer doing anything with the collection and it’s been pretty much sitting in storage. I want it to be with an actual mini collector or museum.
Does anyone know of someone or an organization that might do this collection justice?

    • That’s amazing. You might call me a collector too – I’m not sure how much I have of the entire collection, but it’s quite a lot.

I’m not sure how to answer you. Of course my first response is ‘ME ME ME ME’ but I suppose that’s a bit silly considering the size of my existing collection – though I do very much take care of all my games and miniatures and seem to have become the de facto caretaker of all things AT-43 on the internet, and the person keeping the game alive. Otherwise I know of no appropriate ‘museum’.

Are you looking to donate or sell, I suppose would be the first question?

Then of course there’s the whole shipping question these days …

I know how you feel. My precious game collection as a whole takes up a room, and I do wonder as I get older what will become of it one day. I doubt anyone will ‘do it justice’, as much as I’d love to see it all stay together and go to someone or some place that appreciates it.

  • Cam says:

Sorry it took so long to reply, I was opting to contact on Instagram at some time but I got side tracked.
I am still in that in between headspace of being attached to the collection and at the same time thinking that it’s no good to just keep them squared away with no usage or community!

In terms of selling or donating, I am thinking of selling to recoup but I also know realistically it is an extremely small market and it is hard to put a big price on a collection like this. So the price has to be in that sweet spot for both me and buyer I guess.

I see that you are based in NZ, tried looking up some quick shipping quotes. It’s not too bad and not great but it will be shipping out of the GCC. A later time problem.

I’ll think on it a bit more, look through the stuff I have and see. The main part is I am glad to have found at least someone who would appreciate the collection! I will try to contact you Instagram at some point if you don’t mind, show you what’s there and what not

    • I won’t be buying anymore AT-43, so only think of me if you want them to go to a good home where they’ll be cared for!

      • Jeffrey Brown says:

I also have an entire room dedicated to my collection. It’s my most prized possession. I don’t have a dedicated group of friends to play but my wife and I play. My oldest child is also starting to get into it. If I get a package of minis in the mail, he just lights up! It’s an amazing feeling for me to see him share the love of the game as I do

    • Jeffrey Brown says:

I would be interested in cog troops if you are still in the market to sell. I’m only lacking a couple of units to 100% my collection.

    • Jeffrey Brown says:

Cam If you decide to sell some of your collection, hit me up at my email please. Jeffreymbrown08@gmail.com

I would be greatly appreciative and would take great care of them.

    Hello Universal Head,

I am making a few custom cards for my AT-43 Games. Do you remember the font that you used when you created them? Thanks!

    Travis

  • Travis N Smith says:

    Hello UH,

This is Travis I’ve made some Proxy new flying units for the UNA & Red-blok Forces. I have printed the cards for them that you have created. Do you remember what font you used on the cards I want them to match the existing font on new weapons lines. I’m using them for personal use in my games I hope you’re OK with that thanks!

    • I’m in India at the moment Travis so can’t look – will help you in a couple of weeks when I return. Vaguely remember Foundry Monoline but its an old type 1 font and may no longer be available,

      • Travis Smith says:

        Thank you very much UH!

      • Travis Smith says:

Hello UH just checking to see if you had any time to verify the Font for the cards. I haven’t had a moment yet to check if Foundry Monoline would be the ticket yet but will be doing so soon. Also I don’t know if you are aware yet but there’s some talk on Facebook AT-43 That a company by the name of Monolith out of Paris I believe has taken over all of the rights of all of the products from the now defunct company Rackham.

        • It is that font, but it’s also a PostScript font which Adobe no longer support, so at the moment I can’t make any changes to these files without changing the font and completely fixing the messed-up layout that would result. Yes, I heard this morning that Monolith has acquired the rights. We’ll see what happens!

  • Robert says:

Thanks for your great AT 43 resources

BTW – Monolith (aka the makers of Conan, Batman and Mythic Battles) have announced they now own the rights to Rackham’s properties, they have even possibly hinted they might do something with AT43

  • Travis Smith says:

Sector 7 no activity Sir! It’s quiet much too quiet!

  • Travis Smith says:

That would be ABSOLUTELY INSANE!I like the cards you have already and I do use them in my games!

  • Travis N Smith says:

I have been collecting and playing AT=43 for about a year and a half now. I have a lot of models but I’m lacking on a few hard to find Cogs and the Therian bladed bomb thingys….I hope to find them someday I love this hobby. I also play Dust 1947, Dust Tactics, Hero-quest, Star Wars Legion, & Aliens board Game, I really enjoyed watching you and Will play AT-43 it was funny and very entertaining unlike many of the other AT-43 videos out there. I thank you and your site and appreciate the passion and hard work that was put into it!

    • Thanks Travis. It must be hard work collecting At-43 stuff now, I can’t imagine there’s a lot out there anymore and it must be quite expensive. That’s a good selection of games you like there! One day Will and I will do another AT-43 battle report again, I’m sure.

  • Travis Smith says:

Well it’s been a long hard road to collecting I suppose, I’ve had some luck with individuals that have decided to sell their collections. I do believe I’ve had to spend some money on the more rarer items but as much as I love the hobby I tell myself its worth it! It would be great to some day see another one of your battle reports with Will especially an AT-43 report. I have watched a few with you two on other games such as Aliens and Battle Masters the latter I failed to mention I have in my game collection…those reports were also very entertaining to watch as well.

  • Travis Smith says:

UH how is it going Sir?
