Coach we need a water break, we been out here all day!
Why get the new version of Blood Bowl when I already have the last version? How can you even ask such a question?!
Yes, I know, I know. The new version is almost exactly the same; I didn’t really need the new version, the components are just a bit fancier, etc etc. But you all know me better than that! Of course I couldn’t resist the upgrade. So here it is, the 2016 version of that violent fantasy football favourite, Blood Bowl.
The rules are pretty much the same as the old version, but there is a lovely new double-sided board for the field, two new (somewhat larger scale) orc and human teams, and some fancy new plastic templates and range ruler. The new teams are – well, they’re fine, though I was a little unimpressed with the human team. And the graphic design of the new version seems a bit rushed – I don’t like the black edge shading on the box, or the too-busy textured background in the rulebook. But these are nitpicks; for those of you who have never played Blood Bowl, you’re in for a treat. Let’s check out what you get in that box shall we?
