I’ve been influenced in my purchasing by a couple of Shut Up & Sit Down reviews lately; after recently getting Undaunted: Normandy, I saw this review on a game I’d never heard of: A War of Whispers, and was hooked.
Interested as I am lately in games with no miniatures, short play times and interesting themes, this game of influence and power-brokering during the wars in a fantasy empire sounded just the ticket. So let’s check out what’s inside the box! Note this is the ‘normal’ game, not the deluxe edition; however I’ve since played the game and had great success using the city pieces from Mighty Empires. The other bits, not so much.
