It’s a cornucopia of little coloured plastic pieces as we unbox Clash of Cultures by Z-Man Games.
There’s nothing like a new games that’s chock-full of plastic pieces, and Clash of Cultures by Z-Man Games certainly doesn’t disappoint. Not only that, but it’s a fantastic game, as I discovered when I got it to the table soon after filming this unboxing video. It’s a satisfying civilization-building game with just the right amount of complexity and some clever, streamlined systems that all work together beautifully. In fact I think I might even say it’s the best game in this genre I’ve played. The designer, Christian Marcussen, aslo designed Merchants & Marauders, another of my favourites, so I look forward to seeing what else he comes up with in the future (after the upcoming expansions for both of these games: Clash of Cultures: Civilizations and Merchants & Marauders: Seas of Glory).
A great game beautifully produced. Highly recommended! Watch out for a rules summary in the near future.
I really enjoyed the game and I think the new expansion will only make me enjoy it more by adding differences to the cultures
