We have to show the world that not all of us are like him. Otherwise, this will always be Hitler’s Germany.
Black Orchestra tackles a fascinating historical subject – the conspiracies to assassinate Hitler and end the Nazi regime.
I’ve always been quite interested in WWII history, and after stumbling across Black Orchestra, was drawn in by the combination of historical accuracy and distinctive graphic design. This co-operative game puts you in the shoes of one of the historical conspirators who plotted to assassinate Hitler. It treats the challenging subject with due historical respect and is educational as well as enjoyable to play (from what I’ve read of the rules – I haven’t got my copy yet).
After expressing my interest in the game on Boardgamegeek, Cody Jones of Game Salute was kind enough to contact me and ask me to create one of my rules summaries. So now those backers who funded the second edition on Kickstarter will get a printed copy of this rules summary and reference in the box.
This needs to become a thing; there are a number of games that I’d buy if they had a “Universal Head rules summary included!” sticker on the shrink-wrap.
Tell the publishers, my excellent friend! 🙂
Are you planning to revise this when the v2 rules come out?
This is for the latest version – it’s the same summary that will be printed and in the box, and I helped proofread the rulebook. 🙂
Well, I’ve ordered the game based on your recommendation and your rules summary, so hopefully that helps push the trend along.
I haven’t actually got a copy and played it yet, so I hope it’s good! 🙂
