Peter examines the prototype of Enormity, Into the Unknown’s successor to Aeon Trespass Odyssey.
A year and a half ago I reviewed Aeon Trespass: Odyssey, a huge adventure and box-battling game from new studio Into the Unknown. Well they’ve launched a new game on Kickstarter, a successor of sorts with shared mechanics but a sci-fi horror theme, called Enormity, and they kindly sent me a prototype to check out. While it’s an unfinished game as yet so I can’t ‘review’ it as such, I can tell you all about it. Be warned, this isn’t the game for those of you not fond of a lot of detail and a lot of fiddly processes, but it may be just the thing for solo players with a lot of time on their hands who want to get deeply involved in this theme. In other words, many of the thoughts I had about Aeon Trespass: Odyssey also apply!
