According to The Oxford English Dictionary, the word “snapshot’ was originally a hunting term.
The Esoteric Order of Gamers adds yet another social media platform to the list!
Aaaargghhhh!! The endless social media sites! The constant updating! Oh, whoops, I should be plugging the fact that the EOG is on Instagram now instead of whinging about it. But I must admit, it all does add quite a bit of busywork to the process. Everytime I post a new article I have to update Facebook, Google+, Twitter … there’s comments to reply to on multiple platforms … sometimes I project myself forward to my deathbed and think “hmmm, can I have that year back that I spent updating social media sites?”
This is why I have no real use for all that stuff in my personal life. But in my capacity as Grand Master of the EOG, things are different! Functionality for EOG members is all-important, and it’s crucial that you can access the gaming goodness here in whichever way you find most convenient.
So, I’ll be putting up regular photos on Instagram now – pics of what games I’m playing, behind-the-scenes photos from our video shoots, the occasional foamcore insert that I haven’t had time to create a plan for, old games and components from my collection, and of course my miniature painting. A good thing about Instagram is that I can put up pics quickly and easily, so there should be a good variety of interesting images there in time. Please do go over and give it a follow, and I hope you enjoy this new way of interacting with the Esoteric Order of Gamers!

Well…no social media for me…but I hope it helps the community…and keep up the good work UH!!!
Actually Instagram is relatively enjoyable compared to the others, as I can post a pic and a comment quickly and easily. You can always come and have a look by clicking the icon in the top navigation and the footer of this site.
Well…it lets me see some pics without press-ganging me to join…so its not that bad 😉
Unlike Pinterest, which is why I stopped using that.
