I was wonderin’ when El Capitan was gonna get a chance to use his popgun.
It’s time for the second part of the EOG’s video series covering the miniatures and buildings from Deadzone by Mantic Games.
Righto, now your miniatures are cleaned up and put together, there’s just one more preparation video before we starting painting the little suckers. Clean ’em, base ’em and prime ’em—next time, we start to paint!
If you’re wondering what happened to the modular buildings, never fear, they’ll be covered as soon as the miniatures are painted. Now quick yer whining and get basing!
Blu-tacking the figures down on a box before spraying is genius. In my rush and nervous haste I just arrange them on a sheet of newspaper, so of course they get blown all over the place by the spray, knocked over, and I end up with inconsistent coverage and occasionally bits of grass on them…never again!
If only I’d known that before priming the 200-odd War of the Ring figures I’m painting now.
I can see those WotR figures flying about under the spray paint onslaught now … they’re light plastic guys on small bases too – must have been a nightmare!
Hi, really enjoying the videos you put together.
Where can I buy that sculpting tool you used for the green stuff? I usually use a large sewing needle, which doesn’t have a good grip, so what you used was perfect!
I just got it from an art supply store somewhere. I keep meaning to buy some proper tools, for example:

and

Ah, the one in your video was the perfect one I was after. But thanks anyway 🙂
Just found some on ebay, should’ve looked first, lol
What’s the link?
I just searched ‘sculpting tool’ on ebay, and it brought up a whole heap of them. they are not the exact ones that you have, but similar, just with a wooden handle.
